Welcome!  My name is Hugo Lopez.  I am a graduate of San Francisco State University where I majored in Cinema in the early 2000’s.  That's right, I cut 16 mm film with a blade and splicer bar, spun film on a flatbed, and filmed on a Bolex wind up camera.  The classics truly get you a base knowledge of the big picture.

I started 22 years ago at a low power Univision station as a production manager and since then have had the opportunity to wear several hats.  I have worked as a Commercials and Promotions Creative Producer, an Editor, a Camera Operator, a Technical Director, Director of live shows, an A1, a robotic camera operator, a prompter operator, a TOC Tech, and a Studio Manager.  From the broadcast world of local news to sports, then international news, and finally the tech world!

My resume reflects my credo.  Never stop learning!  I love achieving beautiful productions all while learning new skills and equally teaching and passing on what I have learned.  If I could pinpoint one thing that stands out about myself it would be my ability to engage and establish positive relationships that lead to collaborative visions.
